On January 25, 2025, Sea StarLogistics Co.,Ltd.(SSL) proudly hosted the Sea Star Leadership Development Workshop 2025, aimed at enhancing leadership skills and empowering professionals to lead with confidence. This dynamic workshop was met with overwhelming from participants!
🎯 Key Highlights of the Workshop 🎯
- Iceberg Principles : The speaker presented the Iceberg Principles to enhance understanding of the behaviors by ourselves and others. This is because the behaviors that are outwardly displayed do not encompass the entirety of an individual.
- Leadership Mindset : This topic, being one of the main points of this workshop, provides an opportunity to open the mind, adjust perspectives, acquire new knowledge, and apply these insights in daily life.
- Value Elication : This topic prompted a reflection on activities or projects that have either brought us pround and fulfillment but in some cases remain unfulfilled. At times, certain aspects may have been overlooked, yet this reflection provides an opportunity to revisit these experiences and consider applying them in the pursuit of new endeavors.
- Cause & Effect : E+R = O : In this topic, we were encouraged to think critically and solve problems in response to various situations. When faced with challenges, we were taught how to address them effectively in order to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Qualities & Appreciation : This topic is related to the qualities of each participant, exploring the unique attributes that each individual possesses. It allowed us to rediscover other qualities that we may have overlooked in ourselves.
- Active Listening For Leader : This topic is equally important, as it involved pairing up and practicing active listening, followed by responding thoughtfully to what we heard from our partners. This can be described as a deep conversation, where we open ourselves to listen more attentively to others, without making premature judgments, and truly understanding the key points shared by others.
The ambiance of the event :
Participants in this workshop had the opportunity to exchange their experiences, providing a valuable occasion for openness to learn and share deeper connections. It allowed us to gain a better understanding of ourselves and others, as well as the behaviors expressed by those around us. Most importantly, we learned not to hastily judge others, recognizing that everyone is giving their best with the resources available to them, just as we do with our own.
The insights gained from this event :
Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. It is essential to first understand oneself, become aware of one’s strengths, and deep the understanding of others. The workshop highlighted the importance of active listening and refraining from making judgments based on external appearances, as each individual has unique resources and distinct goals. Furthermore, it encouraged a shift in perspective, prompting a broader view of situations.
